Capture makes it easy for users to mark and classify their notes in accordance with their
agency guidelines and legislative instruction. This feature ensures protected, sensitive or
privileged information can be classified and redacted with ease and peace of mind. To add a
protective marking to your note in the Capture Native Desktop Application, ensure you are
logged in and simply follow these steps:
- Once you have finished creating your note, click on the Protective Marking field.
There are four levels of Protective Marking offered within Capture , “Protected”,
“Official Sensitive”, “Official” and “Unofficial”.
Note: To view the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework,
visit www.protectivesecurity.gov.au - Select your Protective Marking from the drop-down menu and click Done.
Note: If you do not select a protective marking, your note will default to an “Official” protective marking. - To save your protectively marked note, click on the SAVE icon in the bottom right-hand
corner of the screen.
